Application are invited for the Posts of Senior Research Fellow in Sugarcane Breeding Institute.

Location: Coimbatore, Tamilnadu

Post: Senior Research Fellow

Pay Scale (Salary): 12000/- + 20% HRA per month for first and second year. Rs. 14000/- + 20% HRA 

per month for third and fourth year.

Educational Qualifications:

M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Chemistry or related subjects – 1 no. Agronomy-M.Sc(Ag) in Agronomy or M.Sc in related subjects – 1 no. 3. Biochemistry / Physiology – M.Sc in Biochemistry / Physiology / related subjects – 1 no.Experience in soil, plant sampling and analysis, analysis of micronutrients, conducting field experiments, experience in sugarcane.

Age Limit: 35 Years for Men & 40 Years for Women

Before IARI became a 'Deemed to-be University', up to 1957, students numbering 903 were awarded Associateship of IARI, which was recognized as equivalent to the M.Sc. degree of Indian universities. The Institute has, till February 2011, awarded Ph.D. degrees to 4150 students and M.Sc. degrees to 3237 students. In addition to the students from all parts of the country, 300 students from foreign countries have also received their degrees from the Institute. The Institute has also imparted training in specialized areas of agricultural sciences through training programmes funded by the ICAR, DBT, DST and other 

organizations.

Job Details: Application are invited for the Posts of Senior Research Fellow in Indian Agricultural Research Institute(IARI).

Post: Senior Research Fellow

Age Limit: 35 Years.

Pay Scale (Salary):  Rs.16000/- + 30%  HRA.

Educational Qualifications:

M.Sc. (Biotechnology)/MS (Res.) in related field (Mol.Biology/ Bio- technology )  with minimum 60% marks. Two or more years’ experience in the area of Plant Molecular Biology. Experience preferably in gene cloning, bio-informatics and plant transformation.
