Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India, laid the foundation stone of the university on 4th February 1984 at Rono Hills, where the present campus is located.

Post: Junior Research Fellow

Age Limit: 28 Years.

Pay Scale (Salary): Rs.16000+ 10% HRA p.m. for the first two years (JRF) and Rs. 18000+ 10% HRA p.m. for the 3rd year (SRF) will be applicable to NET/GATE qualified candidates. Rs. 12000+10% HRA p.m. for the first two years and Rs 14,000+10% HRA p.m. for the 3rd year (SRF) for other candidate.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology /Botany /Molecular Biology or any branch of Life sciences from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
