It is promoted by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and financed by the All India Financial Institutions including IDBI, ICICI, IFCI, UTI and IFCI Venture Capital Funds Limited (formely RCTC) and the corporate sector including Ranbaxy Laboratories, Glaxo India, Cadila Laboratories, Lupin Laboratories, Kothari Sugars and Chemicals, Rallis India, SPIC, Madras Refineries, Zuari Agro, EID Parry, ACC and Excel Industries.

Pay Scale (Salary): Rs.8000/-Per month.
Educational Qualifications: B.E, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech in Biotechnology with minimum 60% marks.

Gupta, Deputy Manager, Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), 5th floor, Anuvrat Bhavan, 210, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi-110002: i) Hard copy of the system generated acknowledgement of the application form submitted online. ii) Copies of marksheets and degree/provisional certificate of highest degree qualification upto the semester/year for which result has been declared. In case of GPA/CGPA system, a copy of marksheet/official document from University/college indicating the formula to convert grades to percentage must also be sent. All documents should be attested by a gazetted officer. iii) The students, whose course (M.Sc/M.tech) is under DBT supported teaching programme have to produce a Certificate from Head of Department/Coordinator that their course is supported by DBT.
