Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), named after great patriotic leader Jenab Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah (popularly known as Sher-e-Kashmir) was established in the year 1982 through an Act passed by the State Legislature in the 33rd year of the Republic of India with its jurisdiction over the entire State of Jammu & Kashmir with its headquarter at Shalimar, Srinagar.

1-Post Name : Assistant Professor/ Junior Scientist

• Qualifications : High second class Master’s degree (more than 55% marks) or equivalent  Postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject.  ii. Ph.D degree in the subject concerned. iii. NET.B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Horticulture/ B.Sc. Forestry/  B.Sc. with Statistics or Mathematics.
• No. Of Post : 04 Posts.
• Age Limit : Not less than 20 years and more than 55 years as on 01.01.2012.
• Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100/- + AGP Rs.8000/-

2-Post Name : Project Assistant

• Qualifications : High second class Master’s degree (more than 55% marks) or equivalent Postgraduate qualification in the concerned subject. Ph.D degree in the subject concerned. (Ph.D. is relaxable for candidates holding Post graduation degree in Veterinary Sciences). NET
• No. Of Post : 08 Posts.
• Age Limit : Not less than 20 years and more than 55 years as on 01.01.2012.
• Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100/- +  AGP Rs.5400/-

Application Fee: Demand Draft for Rs 1500/- drawn in favour of Comptroller, SKUAST of Jammu.

How to Apply : Application forms complete in all respects duly supported by attested copies of all the certificates & testimonials and accompanied by Demand Draft for  1500 should reach  through Registered/ Speed Post to the office of the Registrar, Sher-eKashmir, University of Agril. Sciences & Technology of Jammu, Chatha  (J&K) -180009 by or before 15-06-2012 upto 5 p.m. Two self-addressed envelopes of size (9′ x 4′) duly affixed with postage stamps of 30/ each should be enclosed with the application form.Envelope containing the application form should be subscribed as “Application for the post of __________________”.
